FROM THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE CONGRESS

Dear Colleagues, Scientists, Distinguished Sector Representatives and Industrialists;

We are pleased to invite you to the 23rd International Coal Congress and Exhibition of Türkiye which will be held in Zonguldak Dedeman Hotel on September 12-13, 2024.

Considering that the hard coal was discovered by Uzun Mehmet in Kestaneci village of Black Sea (Kdz.) Ereğli on 8 November 1829, the history of the Zonguldak basin dates back to 195 years ago. Türkiye International Coal Congress and Exhibition has been organized every two years since 1978. This congress, which started on a national scale, has turned into an international organization that deals with almost every aspect of coal mining and is attended by miners from all over the world. Since its inception, 838 local and 103 foreign papers have been presented at coal congresses.

Preparatory work for the 23rd International Coal Congress of Türkiye continues. In this congress, as in the previous ones, the developments and problems encountered in coal mining in the process from exploration to consumption of coal will be discussed with scientific data. Also; The "Mining Machinery and Equipment Exhibition", where technological developments in the sector will be exhibited, can be visited during the congress.

We hope that you will participate in this important organization in the 100th anniversary of the mining engineering education that started with the "High School of Mining Engineering" in Zonguldak in 1924, and we look forward to your scientific contributions to the congress.

° Participants who want to participate in our congress by presenting a paper do not need to send an Abstract. You can participate in our congress by uploading your Full Text papers to the system until 30/05/2024.
